ShishuAlo · a safer digital childhood

Watch safely,
learn through stories and play.

Three focused apps for young children — Yotube, GolpoBari and KheliShikhi. A finite, reviewed catalogue with no endless feed. What they watch and how long they watch stays your decision.

Why we are this careful

What too much screen
quietly takes away.

Not a scare story. Just the things families notice at home.

1 hour
The most sedentary screen time the WHO recommends per day for ages 2–4 — and less is better.WHO · Guidelines on physical activity, sedentary behaviour and sleep for children under 5 (2019)

Sleep

Evening screens push bedtime later.

A mother and child at a table concentrating on matching learning cards

Attention

After fast cuts, slow tasks feel harder to start.

A grandmother showing a Bangla picture book to two children on her lap

Talking

Every screen minute is a minute not spent talking.

A mother pointing out a bird on a branch while her child looks up holding a magnifying glass

Moving

Sitting time grows and running-around time shrinks.

An endless feed

  • Nobody knows when it ends
  • The next video starts by itself
  • Stopping means tears

A ShishuAlo session

  • It has a start and an end
  • Autoplay is the parent’s switch
  • What comes next is already decided

Three apps · one thoughtful rhythm

Watch, read, make — one balanced learning day

Not one noisy super-app. Each app has its own job, navigation stays simple, and the journey is matched to the child’s age.

01 / WATCH
Yotube

The video experience they know,
under your rules.

A finite catalogue that is either parent-selected or editorially published. Daily budget, Shorts cap, autoplay setting and reporting all live in the same family profile.

02 / READ
GolpoBari · গল্পবাড়ি

Good habits —
through stories, not lectures.

Original Bangla-first stories about tidying up, kindness, feelings, focus and safety, told in short scenes at a calm read-aloud pace.

03 / CREATE
KheliShikhi · খেলি শিখি

Not only tapping —
trace, count, create.

Short activities covering Bangla letters, number sense, shapes, patterns and colouring. Completion syncs; nothing competes.

The parent promise

Trust is not a badge.
It is the workflow.

Having a public URL and being published to a child’s home screen are two different things. Every video candidate is reviewed, learning packs are versioned, and each release’s identity and checksum are visible in the portal.

A clear fit, not for everyone

Is this right for your family?

Features are only half the picture. It should also be clear which families will get the most out of this pilot.

ShishuAlo is for you if —

  • Your child is 3–8 years old and the family uses Android
  • You would rather have a small, finite choice than an open feed
  • Bangla-first stories and hands-on practice matter to you
  • You are willing to take part in setup and content choices

Something else may suit you better if —

  • Installing from the Play Store is non-negotiable
  • You want unrestricted YouTube search for your child
  • You need automatic payment and instant activation
  • You are looking for guaranteed learning outcomes or a clinical assessment

Before you decide

Straight questions,
straight answers.

Trust is built by being clear about limitations, payment and delivery.

If Yotube exists, why not just use YouTube Kids?

YouTube Kids also has parent approval and timers. What ShishuAlo adds is a single family flow where finite video is followed by local Bangla-first GolpoBari stories, KheliShikhi activities and an honest completion dashboard. This is not a claim to be an official replacement for YouTube Kids.

Why are the three apps not on the Play Store?

In this paid pilot each release is delivered from the Parent Portal as an entitlement-gated signed APK. You can see the package ID, signer fingerprint and SHA-256 before installing. If a Play Store install is essential for you, this cohort is not the right fit.

Does paying give me access immediately?

No. After you submit a payment reference in the portal it goes through finance verification. The APK download opens once the status is ACTIVE. If no merchant number is configured, the payment button stays disabled.

Does every candidate video reach my child?

No. Candidates, review and the published catalogue are separate stages. No discovered video is shown on a child’s home screen without a full editorial review and an age-band publish. Parents also control their own selections.

How do app updates reach me?

The app can check for a newer compatible release once an admin publishes one. The download and install flow only starts after the package and signer are verified as identical, and the Android install confirmation stays with the parent.

Does this guarantee learning results?

No. ShishuAlo gives operational evidence of routines, content choices and completed work. It does not claim intelligence scores, diagnoses or guaranteed developmental outcomes.

A calmer start

Less noise on their screen.
Less uncertainty on your mind.

Create a family profile and request pilot activation. Once your access is active, all three signed Android apps come from the portal.
